Jesus, that stuff over the Channel is insane.

This is why I say to people "NOWCAST" It's fool hardy to rely on the met office, netweather and models alone when it comes to not just storms but other weather events as well, snow for example :p

These are the sort of rain rates we could see widespread late tonight/tomorrow am, it's likely to lead to flash flooding..

Hope everyone who is chasing tonight is taking steps to stay safe. I've a feeling that this is going to go off with a hell of a bang!

New here so excuse me if I'm in the wrong forum, but this Spanish plume has me pretty excited..... Am I right in thinking that after tonight and the early hours Tstorms there'll be some respite and it'll fuel up again Saturday afternoon? Think I'll sleep through tonight's activity and get out on the road tomorrow. Prefer to witness these storms during daylight where you can see the cell structures. Can't wait!

Where is that French storm system heading? Looks to me to be just across Kent, or will it swing around?

Is that radar predicting ahead? (Bit confused of the times show)

If so it looks like the western flank intensifies as it hits land? Could be great for E Sussex and Kent. I may be too far west for anything too good.
