im in Wikersley and Maltby in Rotherham atm and its very foggy. Cold too. Looks like the cloud and inversion made it over the pennines after all!

got back from Cumbria earlier today and what a fantasic few days i have had with stunning views of Scafell pike and the surrounding area,here is just a few pics that i took,hope you like

latest forecast for near me shows a possible rain to snow event Friday night. Probably gone soon but one to watch. The charts are looking a little colder at least on latest model runs so perhaps Yorkshire will see a few more flakes before the winter is done

Some of the photos from Boston area are amazing...i've been there in the summer...prefer to be there now

 

As you say, we may get some interesting weather in a few days time, shame it won't be on the same scale...imagine this country under 6ft of snow...wouldn't survive...

Various met office warnings out, until Monday. Interesting times ahead for this region, especially high ground on sunday..

Sounds about right, frontal snow eventually turning back to rain even over higher ground, warm sector moves through quickly followed by cold PM air and convective showers off the Irish sea.

Its looking fairly hopefull isnt it. Sundays warning is only for north and west yorkshire though, so I may miss out on that frontal event. Guess its a case of look out the window!

 

Monday sounds good though, warning for west, south and north Yorkshire for 6-10cm on hills!! woop! :cold:
