I think the southern side of the Toon is heading for that gap tbh.

I think N Newc upwards should get a decent amount from this. The only place that looks dodgy is Newc/Gateshead I think.

From what I can tell most places from Durham south have got about an inch, though if it fell earlier, it's probably slushy on big roads/pavements now.

It does look like that in all honesty, could just fit nicely in that gap although showers are sometimes hard to predict as they can backbuild or gaps can be closed up before you know it.

Well I think we (south tyne side) are in the firing line.  But can still see the lights right out west.  When they go dark - something is coming. will keep you posted

Oh no, it's melting...hope this isn't it for tonight, we want more we want more!

Try not to worry down to 2.1c now here it is slowly decreasing and with further showers throughout the night we should be ok at least we have a covering to protect if it starts to rapidly melt then panick haha

Might just scrape a dusting, at least the showers are now making it to the coast, but don't expect to see scantily clad women sliding down the bigg market just yet.

The wind has really picked up here and it's hard to see how big the flakes are as they are moving too fast.

Edit: unreal, the gap has widened around toon centre and is actually moving around the centre.

Don't believe it, the huge shower to the North of T and W just got shunted to the coast to the North, and looks like missing us now, unbelieveable

It looks like the larger clump behind the small one which has passed to the north will do the same.  I am off to bed.  NW westerlys are utter rubbish.

The 6 Years I've been on this forum I always thought the term 'snow-shield' was a joke, showers going south and now passing north... someone has it in for us Tynesiders
