Our snow shield was broken! Just the tiniest sprinkling of snow, but it is the first in sooooo long.

Must of had a dusting sometime between 3:30 and 6 as when I woke at 3:30, nothing, 6 a dusting.

Your assumption is probably right in that case lol

Yes possibly some more for Solihull/Warwickshire in the next hour or two, a small clump of showers have emerged from Wales looking fairly strong still, anything that does fall is unlikely to settle now though.

Maybe south Warwickshire and here in north Oxfordshire where we have had some light snow. First since 2013. You can still see the grass but will take whats on offer.

Yes I agree it looks like they are going to dip south of me again, grrrrrr! Worcester/Malvern probably best placed, think they'll die by the time they get to north Oxfordshire.

Been out with dog hoping to get caught in some of those showers from Wales. Well, we did get caught, but we also got wet as they are a mix of snow, sleet and a bit of rain.

Wow what a disappointment, was expecting a line of heavy snow showers to move across and got about 3 flakes.

Not hopeful of anything else now, westerlies = rain shadow effect.

Those showers forming over the Welsh hills are unlikely to make it through to the Midlands - they all get zapped by Offa's Dyke :D

Not a flake to be seen here, thought that would be the case. A touch of frost and that has been it. Still it is disappointing but thats the British weather for you   ;)

This mornings fax has a trough crossing us around midnight so could enhance shower activity! ! Infact there are troughs everywhere!

We had that forecast last night and ended up with nothing!

It will probably end up south of us or too far north knowing our luck!

With the way the models are coping at the moment, this is totally FI.

But looks like there is still potential for something decent to happen next week. This is snow accumulation by Thursday.. obviously not remotely accurate but interesting anyway.

Shropshire sized snowless gap in there so i'd bank on it being quite accurate

Gloriously sunny today, not feeling as chilly as expected at 5.4c

Keep the hopeful snow charts coming guys - you've got to have something to keep you cheery don't you?!

(Unlike some posts on here that are making me want to slit my wrists!)
