Down to 3.1c here

Temperatures seem to be dropping quickly which bodes well

Those out towards Berks/Bucks/Beds/Ox/Northants and those West of the A1 may get a light covering 1-2cm overnight. Other than that it looks like trace amounts for the rest of us I'm afraid. Another letdown but we are used to it now.

Keep up the updates John. I'm at work in west London. We are very borderline in Waltham Abbey/E4 – may sneak something but odds against I reckon.

I would happily accept 1mm!

Temperature is dropping fast here.  Gone down from 3 degrees to 1.5 in the last 45 minutes.  Due point is now at 0.

I would literally wet my pants if the SE did see snow and got a dusting atleast, obviously because we want it but also might make some people just chill out and wait for the radars, obseravtions & window watch..... plus not getting too upset with every met office quote/update in future.

Just out of curiosity, how much snow might favoured spots like midlands etc get ?

70-80 mm ?

Sounds about right. Upland areas perhaps double that.

No precip looks like coming to the SE this side of midnight, however the stuff currently south of Devon may head London way.

Out of no where it's gone cloudy here and radar reports a snowy shower 20 odd miles away from me. Here's hoping.

2.9°C - DP says 3°C

I thought the DP seemed bit high, nearest other stations to me reports DP 1°C & 2°C

P.S Thanks above Ali
