Just got up for a drink of water and checked the MetO overnight forecast. The West Midlands one is strangely specific: "...some snow, mainly across Worcestershire." How it's going to get here without passing over any other county is anyone's guess! :p

Ah, I've worked it out. The snow is clearly going to spread up from Gloucestershire. Yes, on a northerly. :D

Another balmy day, or would be if it wasnt for the wind. Sun out and lots of blue sky. Certainly not cold.

Well Im supposed to be going to Cornwall in a couple of weeks and starting to seriously believe I'm more likely to see a decent snowfall there than here. The West Mids has a curse on it this winter.

Yep I agree. We have been cursed most places have now seen snow and it has stuck, every time it has started here it turns to rain and gets washed away!

The 06z NMM's PPN charts are showing a wintry mix (more rain & sleet than snow) around teatime for the east of our region

I think Thursday looks more promising for showery activity as winds pick up and turn more into a Northeasterly and a fairly strong one at that, driving snow showers well inland.

But a good 48hrs to go yet! but defo one to keep an eye on :cold:
