The Cotswold and Wessex Downs will catch most of it I'd imagine and then it's a question of whether it makes it South of the M4 in tact.  :hi:

certainlly got a bit of a run on in the last update, Oxford dissapearing!!

Agree the M4 muncher might scupper our chances. First signs of it breaking alittle.

0.2mm of snizzle is my prediction for us

A bit of orographic lift over the Cotswolds and Malverns, followed by some "Lake Effect" over the Severn Valley and Bristol southwards could get hammered!

(Oh yeah, and angels will leave halos around the moon!!)

Definitely seeing more of a south as opposed to southwest movement on the last two updates :-(

Poked my head into the Midlands thread and a mixed bag of none out west to little snozzles and snizzles and flurries to thicker and chunkier snow in Warwickshire, Oxon regions.. Fingers and toes crossed she shows us her best side.. Sorry.. This is all clearly making me T & E ( tired and emotional)

Looking at radar, a good 10-15miles NE of here in Bucks look the sweet spot currently.

Met office latest weather on tv showed it as just showers that are hit and miss

Good thing with this PPN heading North to south for anyone who gets the PPN it will be snow even towards the coast , this is because the land is colder than the sea and wind direction is across the cold ground.

lets hope it holds togeather for us all to see a bit and keep heading in the direction it is , certainlly no eastward movement.

you been on the Jamaican woodbines again....lol

well, the cotswolds and other high ground to the south of Birmingham is leeching the ppn from the showers, they're weakening steadily so might just squeeze a sugar dusting along the M4 corridor....Further to the east though, the showers are better organized, but again with have their potency diminished by higher ground (Chilterns).......fingers crossed here

I don't think this far West was ever in the game where that precipitation was concerned, unfortunately.

Yes I've put the NMM overlays on and it should steer more directly South soon and slightly ESE too, maybe East Berkshire and outskirts of London will see the highest accumulations after all. I AM NOT WRITING OFF THE EVENT FOR US HOWEVER, folks. Radar watching is key now and following the animation will give best guidance over this developing situation.
