evening ,been busy with elderly inlaws today ,popped on Radar 30 mins ago and bingo .well if this reaches Somerset it should all be snow ,does look like its building a bit as its approaching ,just hope we dont get the dreaded Polo hole appear and then break up ,i,m going to give the radar a miss over next hour or so .lovely winters night out There was a good Halo round moon ,and some lower level cloud coming in from the n/east good signs ,perhaps we could get something to follow , :yahoo:  :cold:

Mother Nature must of read my Wanted poster, I think the South Glos Snow Shield will be having a system update, going from verison 1.8.9 to 2.0 stronger than ever!

It'll definitely hit bristol, no doubt about it.

 

I'm not so sure jay. it is along way to travel yet, it can collapse just as quick as it has intensified.

Looks like it's heading due SW towards the Cotswolds and then onto Bristol area - looks like it's expanding a bit as well.

Hope it dosent die out.

snowing even in st ives do you think? even in dec 2010 they have no lying snow i believe

I reckon a northerly flow definitely benefits our peninsula. Get the streamer set up with the cold in situ and it's game on. The beauty is that 12 hours ago no one knew it would happen!
