LOL, a typical Tyneside day. I'm so glad I'm a few miles inland. Mind you we have been cloudy all day here too, but the temperature got above 20ºC. And Sunday and Monday were cloudy and cool, with the sun breaking out at 2.30pm on both days and rapidly lifting the temperature to warm levels. I bet it stayed miserable on Tyneside though.

It's been raining here for much of the day, with thunder/lightning this evening. Got very warm in the afternoon, especially after a 15 minute sunny spell (came as a surprise!) and the humidity is great. Currently it's once again overcast (has been for hours now), raining and there's the odd rumble of thunder. Temperature? 17.5C - too warm! :?

Supposedly some parts of Durham had a bit of thunder last night, but it didn't penetrate to the coastal strip.

We did manage about half an hour's sun each on Sunday and Monday (at about 5pm in both cases) but no sunshine yesterday.

No sun today either. Dull, damp, drizzly, but slightly warmer at 17C.

After a fresher evening it turned humid again as mist and low cloud formed by midnight. Min was 17c for 3rd night running :!:

Sun burnt through at about 1000 leaving clear blue skies and temps soaring at 23c already :D
