I've noticed something. There is a lot of fog present over northern coasts of France and I reckon this is indicating some high humidity values over there, a good sign for thunderstorm development.

It looks like some Ac Cas is now crossing the English Channel to SW England! Off we go! Attempt 100!

I'm in the green! Nothing for me then! I'll go for the one to the east of me. But, that graphic makes me think, why have they released such an detailed graphic? Is the apocalypse coming?

That graphic i think i'm in the green area too, but i think that's to make it easier to read rather than 'that area won't get anything' , but good old Bed of Ford probably get some light rain.

Don't lose hope.

Their never accurate with the graphics, it's more of a guide , saying that though , we do tend to miss out on the proper storms

Some thunderstorms are now starting to develop over Brittany and are gradually moving north towards the English Channel. Time will tell as to how big they become. A lot of blue sky to my south now as we move into the warmer and more humid/thundery air.

I've had a weird old sky today, Half was a grey, white mix and other clear but no sun, until now, and you can feel the warmth.

Good luck to all and stay safe.

But he also said there was a lot of uncertainty, and not to take the positioning of the graphics too literally.

Looking at that BBC Graphic then everything will be the west of London going NNW.... there is so much uncertainty with this we should all wait and see......

Then moan when nothing happens :fool:

El Gordo #2: things are starting to fire up over N France now. Good luck all south coasters. Some exciting weather in August for once!

We seem to get the best thunderstorms later on in the Summer so maybe it's all in!

Present run for us shows nothing much of interest bit of rain Friday early hours then dry but dull while Thursday dry but dull. All change next run no doubt. The weather warnings contradict the local forecast. A slight shift eastward and it would be very wet Friday.

My interest lies in tommorow night. Meteo group have a level 3 for my area! Last 2 severe storms we only had a level 2!

True and I believe parts of the SW did quite well last Sept? :) we may lose the peak heat but can still get some decent light shows early-mid autumn with the right set up

As luck would have you, they're heading straight for Devon by the looks of it too.

Williams finest moment may be soon to commence.
