Dont know why I follow Canadian weather forecasters on twitter, its just depressing when they tweet stuff, as they did just now stating updated warning of up to 80 cm of snow in the Ontario region

Well the BBC weather for the week ahead are hinting at an Easterly for beginning of next week!!! Not like them to mention things without some support.... The Met outlook updates from last week also hinted about there being a northwest/southeast divide with us staying on the colder side....fingers crossed!!!!x

Interesting indeed!! MOD experts hinting that all that mild air going straight up through/slightly to the west of us will go over scandium too! Yet more interesting model watching to come me thinks!!x

I also find the bbc easterly mention very interesting this far out, reminds me of 2010 and the advanced general hints, not saying for one minute it'll be a 2010 repeat....but still an interesting focal point

Not sure if he meant easterly or a continuation of what we have now, cold air sourced from the east coming up from the se. Looks like the warm may not make it all the way over to the far se at all if his forecast is right. They don't normally talk about next week at the beginning of this week. Very brave of him, kind of what I was thinking my self, the high is very strong and I can't see the Atlantic winning, we will find out soon enough.

They're so confident of it at the BBC that they won't cash those cheques on their weather page. :D

Good morning all of you lovely people! -3.4 and very frosty here! I must admit the speed the temperature was dropping last night led me to believe that I would be a little colder than that.....however, very cold for this area none the less:cold: Now to clear the car of frost and get the seats warm !! Have a nice day all!

Well I was wrong about the temperature here; still sat at -2. Thought it would get a few degrees colder. Will be a chilly one today though...hopefully sunny too :-)

Are you in central staines? I'm out in Thorpe village and I mean it's in the middle of no where away from Egham a good 2 miles and it's always 2-3 degrees colder here than in the towns etc

Think the easterly flowing arrows were more indicative of the colder air not so much an easterly lol

Can drop really till that sun starts to come up the morning is the coldest part :)

There is a bit of cloud to and temps will struggle past 1-2 today maybe 3 in the cities. Then back down again tonight, some people could even be scrapping thier cars before leaving work!

Same here Paget. It was -3.4 when I got up at 5.30am, went to have a shower and within 20 minutes the temperature had reduced to -4.0? Maybe there was some cloud cover that cleared? Have a good day! :cold:

:lazy:It's only -2c here:cc_confused: was hoping for a -5c:blink2::drunk-emoji: Don't forget your hot water bottle:reindeer-emoji::cold: Patchy cloud moving in, should lift the temps. :angry:BBC have already dumped the possible continuation of the cold for the SE into next week:cc_confused::angry::santa-emoji:
