Sorry Marie dont know why its done that.

Light Rain here, back edge of the front is ok but the main risk area has seen nothing wintry

Ok change of plan, it's late and I don't want to go through and delete half the thread tonight, so will leave in situ as there's nothing anyone needs to get upset about really (from what I can see, feel free to report posts if there is something out of line I've not spotted!)

But obviously, as the others have said, time to move on, good luck tonight for those on a flake hunt :D

Just been moderate rain here since about 6.45pm and don't expect much change during the night .  Temp about 4 degrees and think will probably get a bit of sleet in the morning before front clears late morning tomorrow. A case of close again but no cigar for us in SE. Looks like it is on to the next search for colder weather which seems possible later in Feb. A lot of positive signs in strat thread for the PV to finally be bashed up which could have positive implications fo the UK and hopefully us in the snow starved SE !!!!

GFS says maybe Sunday ...

image.thumb.png.437caa969d7de552d0005e04

back to tonight, precip really not heavy enough + dew point not budging to make the night anything but a damp squib for next few hours, though chances of some wet snow increasing in the wee hours IMO

Sunday is a strange one, would need a huge temperature drop but we've seen it before!

I'll probably try and stay away from here that day lol

Temperature and DP have actually gone up to 4.2ºc and 3.9ºc!
A warm sector seems to have appeared, but the ppn does seem to be rebuilding to the west of London.

Been in the darker shadows all evening on the radar, not one flake of snow though, I suppose possibly Luton airport might get a bit.

This has been well over hyped though.

Have to agree, but if the front continues to stall and keep intensity, then those to the East of the region might get some flakes falling still. If anything DOES settle, it is unlikely to last long as things stand.

The top of the shard has disappeared, indicative of a falling snow line?

Possibly, the radar is now saying sleet to the West, North and a patch to the South of London.

But it must be a heck of a lot colder up at the top of that!

Half of the shard has now disappeared must be the snow line.

Good'o... might be worth another peek out of the window shortly.

But the ppn is starting to make it's way East faster and faster now.

It's reappeared and pretty much stopped raining.

Those lucky enough to be above 150M in central London saw snow tonight well done! My paltry 11 floor Thames facing room was clearly no match.

Has anyone reported snow at all, let alone in London?

(EDIT: Latest radar shows the ppn steaming East at a rate, it has now pretty well passed me.)

Well it is 3C with light rain/drizzle this morning, the radar does suggest a wintry mix on the very back edge so maybe a few wet flakes before it clears here.

As per usual damp drizzle here in Whitstable. Another let down. Getting used to 'em. Can't wait to kick this winter up the backside now tbh

Looks as though it's been drizzle all night.

I'm done for this winter. I shall be back in August for the Northern hemisphere ice thread
