Great shot.

The front is through here and now have clear skies again.

Quite an odd frontal set up with very little pre-frontal cloud. It was reasonably sunny (save for scattered Cumulus and some Altocumulus) until less than half an hour before the rain which has ended up speeding in after seemingly being slow moving this morning. Also although it's raining hard it is still pretty bright and hasn't got dull at all.

Same as Andy earlier, had some lovely cloudscapes post-front. The rain has arrived here, but it isn't particularly heavy.

What does make me chuckle right now, at 3:40pm in mid-Summer, the solar radiation landing on my sensor is 46 W/m² - quite pathetic!
Theoretically on a clear day, it should be around 800 W/m² - A cloudy day, it would be 300 or 400 W/m², so it shows you how gloomy it has gone now. lol

What a strange day! Sunny and glorious this morning, a few heavy bursts of rain in the late afternoon, giving 5.4mm, and now its blue skies. It has all dried out, you wouldn't think it even rained. Quite windy though.

You wouldn't believe it all happened in the same day! We are having quite a rough wind out there now, reminds me of winter.

Very unmeteorological term....miserable is the only safe one to use to describe today!

Forecast went slightly awry for last night. It started raining again around 10pm, right through to 3am-ish.

After what started out to be a very dry month, small daily values have bumped the monthly total to 72mm (MetO regional average is 73.3mm) :)

Mostly cloudy, some sunny spells though.

Temp: 17.9°C - Hum: 82% - Bar: 1011.11hPa - Rain: 3.8mm - Wind: SW @ 7mph.

I'm up to 63.5mm with some showers to come this evening.

How it has turned out this month reminds me very much of how recent Augusts have become after fairly good Junes/Julys, so that leads me to hope that we may get a better August this year.

Rubbish start to July. Can't even achieve the bright and breezy day that was forecast.

Not a bad day really, Good breaks in the cloud, which eked out 4.2hrs of sunshine, felt warm even though it was windy. Top temp of 18.9°C.

Very 2015esque today. Blue skies and sunshine at  last, but a howling wind making it feel more like late September.

Yes it's glorious and now mostly sunny with scattered Altocumulus after earlier large Cumulus moved away. The radar suggests something of a train of thundery showers has been ongoing between our respective areas for much of the day, 19.2c the max here with a gusty WNW wind.

Washing, lawn mowing and general gardening done plus some much needed sitting out in the sunshine.

Smashed it down earlier from 2 cells. T&L too.

Village bbq this evening and they're relying on me for the forecast. Told them it'll be fine from now on. Ha, good luck everybody :)

Checking out the visible cloud map  on the weather app on my phone has showed  how lucky we've been here in North Somerset and surrounding areas today with hardly any cloud in the sky all day, pretty much non stop blue skies just a shame about the strength of the wind, would have been an even more of a nice day without that.

Beautiful purple, green and yellow iridescence with the sun in Altocumulus. Doesn't quite show up in the photo as beautifully as in reality.
