Doesn't look like a lot from the PWS's - 2 - 9mm. I expect a fair bit is evaporating.

Could indicate a nice hail core as well.

Took some pictures of the storm cells as they built up during the afternoon

Great pics! Strong updrafts there and nice anvil.

Thank you, and yes when the anvil was forming I couldn't stop looking at it and was treading in mud and all sorts because my mind was focused on the storm cell :D

Storms have died here, nearly 2 hours worth of a great thunderstorm! Best for a few years :)

The sky looks disappointingly stable this evening, no evidence of any showers let alone storms...:(

tomorrow is the day according to the beeb with widespread storms through wales midlands east anglia etc etc

thought the beeb was in association with the met office who have scattered showers with local hail and thunder

one of them is out of tune

Hello everyone! Me and @Evening thunder were going to chase this afternoon but were happy that we didn't turn out in the end! As we've experienced in the past, too much mid level crud limits the development of showers and thunderstorms!

Looks pretty dark and ominous to my west, over Oswestry. No T or L thought. Dark and Cloudy here.

Right that is work done for another day. I haven't missed much so far around here but am now watching that shower south of Ellesmere in Shropshire. It looks heavy and is heading in my direction slowly.
