thunder seems quite limited apart from east anglia where there's more strikes than french union workers

Good cloud scapes Tuesday Wednesday and today but not a one flash or rumble over the three days didnt even rain Tuesday or Wednesday instead basked in bright warm sunshine with a cold beer after work, Storms went west or east of me or kicked off further north, Had three thunder days last month still waiting for my first this month hopefully it will be soon.

A few heavy showers have now developed over Dartmoor, quite a surprise to say how much cloud is around.

The storm here is a real cracker, not much thunder but massive amounts of pea sized hail and the road's already flooded in just a few minutes.

That is completely true! It looks great in East Anglia. I was just marking out my herb bed for planting and it started to chuck it down here in Limousin. Not convective (yet) just a wet nuisance.

Tell you what, Gordon...I'm not bothered by thunderstorms when I know they are coming. But, being woken up, in the night, by the sound of torrential rain pounding on the roof always puts me on edge.:D

It sends me back off to sleep very quickly. I love the sound of heavy rain when I know I'#; all safe and secure. A tent is best! I couldn't sleep through a thunderstorm though, I have to get up and watch...

Almost constant thunder from the storm here earlier as it tracks N/Easterly, I wouldn't be surprised if it merges with the one further up.
