Oh my god, this thunder is evil sounding. It's actually shaking the building.

Out of curiosity, whereabouts is the trough at the moment?

I think it's roughly in a diagonal line from Anglesey to Kent right now pushing north east.

Are there two troughs though..or one long wibbly one?

30/40 miles north of MK/beds but can see the sky darken considerably to my south in the last 30 minutes or so

Painfully watching that brutal beast bully it's way over to Peterborough!! Always happens every time I holiday in June or July.

September is without doubt the best month to visit the costas.

Really dark skies now to the SW, where the black country cell is :)

New cells building to my south and west and being pulled into the larger cluster. It is getting scary looking out, the clouds are weird so I've headed back inside.

Looks like storms could develop anywhere along the trough at short notice anyway...so I wouldn't get too hung up on where current storms are heading. I'd be on the look out for fresh ones if you don't have a storm near you right now.

In the last 15 mins the milky skies have made way to some cumulus now. Finally some structure.

That cell is looking like one mean mother. Enjoy it, you might not see another one like it for some time.

Large cell now sparking south of Daventry, probably the one that the Kettering team can see.

Going to head out now and try me luck again.

Massive bolts of posit e lightning raining down now and all I can hear is sirens going off. This really is getting scary as hell.

That Kinver/Stourton storm (it really is that localised!) seems to have died down a little without really moving. But we're still in the zone and things could still pop up or reignite. I wouldn't be surprised if something has while I'm typing this!

AcCas that formed overhead seems to have sheared and split away, typical, but at least the Penistone cell is visible to the NE from here.

Thunder now here in St Leonards-on-Sea, looks quite a potent little cell looking at the radar

I assume the trough that has caused the mayhem in some places today maybe have came over us at the wrong time or something? Surprised we been dry considering the way the clouds have been last 2 days at times

Yes, still some intense cell development near the Welsh Borders so still time for development. :)
