Is the radar working?  That big angry blob of Emma between mainland Wales and Eire just seems to be hanging there not really moving.  Also, where is this evening’s snow coming from?

Had to chuckle when the MetOffce turned off the least used services due to high demand on the site - I would not consider the Rainfall Radar Observations one of the least used services - especially during big snow events. The Netweather Precip Radar appears to be working, but I agree all the Precip appears to hanging over the Irish Sea and not marking any progress to the west. Here on Anglesey radar indicating light to moderate snow all morning, yet nothing has fallen this morning .. so I have my doubts that all is working as expected.

Quite heavy here now, bigger flakes than what we've had, starting to cover the bare patches as well...

Here in Newport too - and some gustyt winds.  According to nw radar, we're only in he dark blue - what's it like under the green/yellow?

Torrential snow here unbelievable scenes! Must've had an inch extra now.

It's really coming down, Jay. My bald patch has finally been covered. It's taken me by surprise, I was only expecting light flurries this afternoon.

Lol the current main blob looks like skirting WNW over swansea , giving a few flakes maybe ..

Snow poverty on the streets around here.

Not a single snowman to be found .

Cap in hand begging for some scraps to be sent over from the east .

Some people actually attempting to defect to the East , though the Swansea council robowarden is having none of it.

The streets are parched with all the salt , very grim and grey here but never mind as we have a northerly forecast in 384 hours time on the GFS ...

Should be an amber out for this snow! Literally could get tons by the end of this afternoon.

Metoffice now upgraded Valley on Anglesey for Heavy Snow for the rest of the day. Dop Radar showing the same level of precip as Cardiff yet still nothing falling from the sky .. bizarre  .. .send some north please buddy :)

This is good old british snow, when it fall it covers not like that cheap euro rubbish we were having last night :yahoo:  though i do have a mini Alp mountain in the back of my garden that must be nearly 60cm.

Last night we had just about enough for an icing sugar topping for a cake, despite it snowing for hours on end. Better go find an edible hat this afternoon, very disappointing. If anyone hates snow come live in either Llanelli, Swansea or thereabouts :wallbash:

Still snowing heavy here but temp up to 0.6C now so not sticking to any of the wet roads or pavements/cars/roofs just melting as soon as it hits them

Moderate snow now in Tenby. That stuff to the south of Pembs has backed eastwards and seems to be looking to link with the precip over The Valleys.

It's just sticking straight to the coating of ice everything is still under!

Awesome SPRING weather!

The fact you can see the house behind you I wouldn't say it's a white out just moderate/heavy snow ?
