Seasonal weather required

This really annoys me .. teachers and caretakers / parents should be out scraping paths and driveways etc .. it should be expected that parents teachers etc will contribute - get up earlier - shovels out there is no need to close everything after a few inches of snow . Extra council tax for those that don’t muck in It doesn’t take long to clear a path or driveway once you have many hands at work . Get stuck in , work off that Christmas gut , graft and keep things moving ...

Well then here we all are again . Hello to all new and old. Seasons greetings . A bog standard snow event on the cards. Not to be sniffed at yet not one that will live long in the memory. Andymusic our regional leader and weather oracle is still going strong which is great to see . As some may remember I was rather underwhelmed to say the least by the no snow in Swansea during the beast . That event I’m afraid converted me mainly into a mildee....sorry but I’ve just really enjoyed the mild winter so far for running outdoor purposes .. Hmm today , similar angle of attack to that as that pathetic beast day / s.. I think the Swansea area will be restricted again due to mountain shadow effect .. High ground Swansea area maybe an inch - coastal Swansea dreaded sleet but maybe a covering . Sleet — who invented it ? Serves no purpose and should be banned along with wasps . Andy you on the graigerhorn today ?

Not sure what’s going on with my account , anyway .... hope your right ! And that really is all . Fleeting spells of lying snow to a minimal depth no good. Yes they count as “ snow days “ but who cares about snow day statistics if they were not useable . If it snows it needs to be physically useable snow . Physically Useable = make a snowman out of it , sledge on it , ski on it , also it needs to stop you getting to work . 09,10,13 pass . 11,12,14,15,16,17 fail . Still an outside shot at a cold sourced NNW but otherwise it’s time to get back out on the bike , boat , and generally warm ish weather outdoor training for a few tri events , a bit sea swimming etc . 20-23 degrees , light sea breeze ,start down in mumbles early on the day ,walk around the coast path popping into a few of the cafes for light refreshments , wave to the seals near Langland ,maybe a bottle of Boli ? or two then either walk back or taxi if you can’t handle the ?, fantastic ,who needs to go abroad .

We’re this the model ( mad ) thread I’d agree with you that charts are required to back up your opinions . That is the premier league though , the regional forums are sub divisions with different rules . Id say I was just above the relegation trap door to oblivion from the welsh forum and I’d rate myself to say Merthyr Tydfil or Connahs Quay Nomads , Chiono is Man City , Steve Murr Liverpool ( great attack but leaky defence ) , etc you get the picture . Bender the robot are you going for promotion this season ? Im just hoping for a decent cup run , and a home tie versus Steve Murr or something - lol that would just be a slaughter ....

I think he has been reading the accurate comments on this forum and even though he knows he was criminally wrong last time , he is just so stubborn and it’s a nose cutting to spite face scenario this time . I think this indifference is a direct attack against you Andy . But not only that it’s an attack against weather itself and carried out on British soil . I think we should stand together, not be scared and do the right thing - expulsion . There will be retalliation as he has some really hard fanatical mates - but Andy will protect us somehow .

This could be Dereks last forecast . When you compare him to the likes of Chris Fawkes , Thomas Schaferknacker , Ian Ferguson , Phil Avery etc it makes you realise it’s a waste of licence payers money . If I can build that snowman tomorrow for my daughter then I will tick off winter 17/18 as a pass or grade C. At the moment this winter is somewhere between F and E . Last time I went to bed early on that Thursday night after a few hours of lamposting ,watching the swirling powder crap fall expecting to see a good 5cm + blanket in the morning. Woke up , dashed to the curtain and then it started , the biggest ever let down , WTF ? , it just went from bad to worse as I thought ok don’t panic we still have All Friday to go , but nothing , nada . This time expectations are as low as they can be . Winter 17/18 you have been warned, you have one last chance to scrape through with a low pass grade or you will be rejected . So far you have been all talk and no action , this weekend is judgement time .

After the last ssw in 2013 the summer was very good - hopefully it will be the same this year . I wonder if anyone has checked Ssw and the following summer years to see if there is a pattern ? Maunder minimum, ice melt cutting off the usual under water current flows , Andy’s snow shaker , in 20 years time we will be one of the leading nations at the Winter Olympics . Costa , Greggs , Joes ice cream etc all on the top of Pen Y Fan , Ibis ,premier inn etc in place of that dodgy burger van at the bottom of the ski lifts .

Swansea is and will be in dry patch yet again , though Port Talbot is in the absolutely parched Saharan dry patch . Infact I would issue a red warning for Port Talbot - danger of death if you go outside . Its so dry you will shrivel up like a bag of currants - so just lie in the bath all weekend with a pair of goggles on is my advice . Im not scarred by the last epic failure , honest I’m not .....

Whenever people eulogise about “ the winter of 17/18 “ in future I will always be there to debunk that myth . “ We “ haven’t had a great winter for snow. Some - 75% have , though for the rest there hasn’t been enough snow to manufacture a single snowman. I had to shutdown my genuine snowman factory as I couldn’t sell anything ,I hear the few employees we had are in a large amazon cardboard box somewhere nearby now , but i just couldn’t justify the business anymore .... sorry but that’s just business - get a proper job f fk sake - no sympathy . The dry patch is set to return again ,yet this time I expect almost zero. It has been a horrific winter for 25% of us. Derek really does have to take responsibility here for this shocking winter. I cancelled my “degsys weather updates “subscription to switch to Andy musics more advanced and informative service . I urge others to do the same . Horrific winter - Derek to blame for inventing the dry patch . Sorry but it had to be said . Enjoy your snow ️ ️ the other 75% .

If you want cold and dry then the dry patch is the place to be . The beast doesn’t scare Swansea and surrounding dry patch area . Its probably a trifle unfair but just blame Derek for the wet weather. He has to take responsibility rather than just forecast. I think he should be out there digging people out of the snow and pumping out cellars etc in between forecasts. Andy music would do this so why can’t Derek ?

Telegram for mongo telegram for mongo ! Derek just sent me a telegram saying the mumbles blizzard is back on for 0900-1100 hours on Sunday . I don’t know why as I told him last time I was cancelling my ”Degsys weather updates “ subscription to go with Andymusics service . Poor Degsys trying as hard as he can but telegrams ff sake what’s the point ?? I checked the BBC weather app and sure enough it was there. Can someone ring Verdis and let them know as I think i am banned from there now , but still want to be helpful and warn people . Andy you didn’t warn me about the mumbles blizzard ? is my subscription not active yet or is it just nonsense from Degsy ?

After the beautiful sunny warmth of yesterday I’m happy to see the so called beast from the east bugger off . It didn’t scare us in Swansea as we faced up to it and laughed in its face . No , i don’t want the beast from the east , pest from the west , nob from the north , much rather the seductress from the south this time . Though rather like Cinderella the beast from the east will quickly change and is very welcome in summer . Anyway more importantly ,growing evidence now pointing to the theory that the Russians are trying to manipulate the weather by creating SSWarmings thus creating easterlies and of course air sourced from that region —-air which can carry a plague of tiny robotic flies to infiltrate our security , or perhaps poisoned air ..? Dont shoot the messenger though ,because I text Degsy earlier about BFTE2 and asked his advice , to which his exact words were “ watch out for the 0700 Monday blizzard in mumbles “. I then checked the bbc app and found he was being deadly serious . I did question his advice ,but as he is a weather pro I decided to ring verdis and let them know . I regret that now and think maybe I should have consulted Andymusic first ( sorry Andy ). Interestingly for exactly the same time Morriston just has light snow , so great local variances in snow depths on the day hence Degsy calling it the mumbles blizzard . I think he is over reacting and panicking like Andy said , following his dressing down by senior figures in the BBC. The question remains - Is Derek a dead man walking ??

Andy , do you think Derek should apologise to the nation at prime time 6pm news ? or at least a formal type apology on Twitter ?. What does he have to do ,if at all possible to gain a pardon from yourself ? I heard a rumour that perhaps Derek and a few others in the news team were doing something or other with “ the voice “ ... What would you do if you seen him knocking about there in person ?? you wouldn’t sabotage anything when he went on stage would you ? ... Whatever would Derek sing anyway ? I think what Andy is saying though, is that Derek is only concerned by his own appearance in front of the nation as opposed to the information he is to deliver. Will be interesting to watch Derek from now on as the pressure is most certainly on . Knowing that he is being heavily scrutinised akin to a premier league football manager could make or break him . He is already nervously flapping a bit so we shall see . Im not happy with the way he laughed about Hendy having no snow . Thats a crime against us weather enthusiasts and one for which is a sacking offence on its own . Then to call / mock Swansea for being tropical at 5 degrees - well , not only is that factually incorrect it’s also a sacking offence - in my opinion of course - which could be right or it could be ridiculous wrong of course .

As you can see the Welsh regional forum is looking bare at the moment as I’ve been in to start overhauling . Ive had to knock the old plaster off also as it was so badly damaged - I think it was when you pinned derek up against the wall and put a sack over his head . I did think about having a warning matrix colour scheme for next winter but not set on that yet, so open to suggestions . With minimal sun spots - solar minimum , hopefully we can enter a Maunder Minimum then I think we will need an extension to the forum building funded by the Irish RFA of course .
