  1. Well swansea took a very early shock lead but have been comprehensively outplayed for the rest of the game . Currently Swansea 1 Cardiff 8. The ref just needs to blow the final whistle now as this is too humiliating . It looks like it could even be 1-10 by the time the game finishes . Swans folk are just sitting motionless in stunned silence , dis belief , they can’t even muster the energy to walk out before the end . “Ole ole ole ole “each Cardiff snow flake rings to the sound of the bull ring . Some gallows humour erupts from the stands “ we shat and we know we are were shat and we know we are “... Another one goes in and it’s NINE one ! Deary me when will this end ... Andy music -Cardiff manager is dancing and hopping around on the touchline like mad ,hand stands cart wheels the lot , he furiously fist pumps the 9th goal strips naked and dives into the Cardiff faithful ... He was warned earlier but now gets an upgrade to red and is sent off .... The game carries on ..
  2. ^^^^^ Looks like one of the zombies has found their way onto the netweather regional forum welsh thread ??????????????
  3. Andy , you better avoid the Swansea area , gangs of snow starved zombies ? roaming the streets intent on causing chaos and mayhem or maybe that’s just the queue to get into Wetherspoons . Were not happy and we are going to build that wall . The Irish rugby football association are going to be made to pay for it .
  4. Wow amazing - but for the wrong reasons . Must eat my bobble hat today because the dry patch has come to pass . Ok not dry as in nothing ,but not even enough to be able to roll a snowman . Promised my daughter today we would make a snowman - this is going to be tricky with barely a few handfuls of this powder puff foreign dust . Bring back proper British full fat sticky wet flakes !!
  5. Proper British snow required . Soon we won’t get any of this powder puff snow when we are out of Europe . Bring on the no nonsense giant British snow flakes .
  6. Agreed there . It was more bafflement at the sheer persistence of the “ dry patch “ that no matter what it just would not budge . As you say though it still remains to be seen if this has been modelled correctly - I hope and I don’t think it has but we shall see . I don’t recall anyone saying Swansea would get nothing though ??
  7. Colours gradually changing on the nw radar ... greens turning to yellows .. the steak ? is on its way ...
  8. Ok there’s only one way to solve this .... Jay you need to show us your broom stick driftometer . No cheating .
  9. Oh dear the murmurings of discontent are growing . 90 minutes into the ? zone and you have to say this is starting to look embarrassing. How will the reporters try and spin this? Can see a fight breaking out in the met office office .... old experienced pro :- “ I told you not to go with the red f fk sake “ young politically correct student type who has been fast tracked to chief forecaster:- “ well I’m a fully qualified meteorologist and the book says that under the current criteria we issue red “ Old experienced pro :- “ I quit “ - throws coffee over the young whipper snapper and a mass brawl erupts ....
  10. At this rate it would take a few weeks to get a few inches . Very early days but the death zone warning looks just a tad OTT at the moment ... ” take action “ ? At the moment that action is put the kettle on nothing to see just yet .
  11. So one hour into the death zone . Hmmm . Hardly a death zone here in Swansea but so far I’d say us westerners have taken a surprise early lead . Its like 3 minutes into the game and the non league side has taken the lead against premiership opposition . Could there be a shock on the cards ?
  12. So who puts the red lights out / warning tape etc to mark out the red death zone ? Is that the councils or met office responsibility ? Cant see the bbc doing it ....
  13. Hello Wales - it’s me Emma . Where is Andy musics house ? And whats all this nonsense about a dry patch ? Im very generous as you can see , have you all been good boys and girls ? ...
  14. “Witchcraft and wizardry “. Andy I always thought it was wizardry that you used for your forecasts ? Rather disappointed now that your just a mere mortal . I always pictured you as Doc Emmett Brown from back to the future with your wizard like skill set. Clara was your Liza and you just lived as a timelord shifting across the ages in your flux capacitor chipped Volvo ...
  15. I thought I was seeing things earlier ... Had to rewind but that shows a much larger orange blob for Saturday now . Not on met office updates yet though ???
  16. Amber warning for Saturday ?? Did I miss that earlier ? 3 days under amber warning yet for the love of god that circle of doom will just not go away . I can’t take this anymore lol ?????????????????????????????????
  17. lol , not many combinations available with those three items . Food heaven or food hell would be scratching heads given those ingredients . Erm , cold beans , hot beans , dried previously soaked beans ?? beans boiled in lager ? I think you will be hungry later . Andy !.... send Eira one of those steaks down the graigerhorn ...
  18. I did say I would eat my bobble hat if the crying circle of doom aka dry patch remained dry . I just cannot see how it can be so vastly different given a full on frontal storm is approaching . Yes big variances region to region but this crying circle of doom area has been the ONLY CONSISTENTLY and very specifically modelled thing during this cold snap . However unlikely , we shouldn’t completely dismiss model output - but if ever I was to throw a chart into the bin , it would be this stupid crying circle of doom chart .
  19. The crying circke of doom .( CCD). Mean Andy up in his ivory tower on that mountain wildly cackles “ mine mine it’s all mine muhahahaha “ whilst those poor utterly devastated CCD folk try to come to terms with this travesty . Crowd funding required for crying circle of doom folk . We can all chip in and send some councillors up there ?? Right , I need to concentrate and get some work done . Too much time faffing about on this site like a excited little boy before Christmas . Self imposed two days off but must do paperwork as will not be able to concentrate later . Very little sleep later ...
  20. That is so unfair for that dry area . Deep snow for hundreds of miles all around that little circle of nothingness .
  21. If your in the red area you will need to extend that . Though if it blows over your results will be declared null and void . I think we need to have some ground rules for measuring drifts and snow depths . Some will exaggerate some will be conservative . I think the wooden sweeping brush should be the standard that all must use unless others can think of better devices ? No cheating . Good luck all .
  22. Welcome to the weather enthusiasts regional forum. We all have our quirks and kinks though most I think prefer heavy and deep snow . What is your weather preference ? Andy ,give this guy my steak ? as he deserves it more than I .
  23. You can guarantee that the robowarden will be on full patrol today and tomorrow and you will get snapped if you get stuck in the snow on a yellow line .
  24. Teeny tiny flakes meandering around to a milky white backdrop , dancing on the breeze almost lifelike . Drifts of upto 1cm on an old fence panel . 0- 2mm of snow quite widely
