Morning all, temperature has flatlined through the night and is currently 15.8C, due to the low Sc we have over us. Light breeze from the NW.

Having the flatlined temp here too, thinking the weather station is stuck.

Started off a grey and cloudy day and had a short rain spell of 0.4mm an hour ago.
Now brightening up nicely.

14.2c, 1022.4 hPa, NW 8-12mph

Sunny start, the clouded over as the front slipped South - temp dropped rapidly too. Front passed, sun is back, temps back up again. 15.2°C

A chilly one by dawn!

I am always relieved when the first evening after the clocks change is clear as it prevents darkness descending by 4pm!

Less good is how we lose sunlight from the garden day by day due to the neighbours house and tree, it makes drying washing an airers moving challenge lol.

Temperature dropping now, 10.9c after being 13.0c less than an hour ago.

Already down to 7.8°C here so should easily beat the low of 5.4°C so far this autumn.

Minimum of 1.4C with the slightest of grass frosts first thing. Lovely start nonetheless.

Lovely to see the first frost since April, 0.6c at present with a pretty sunrise due to Cirrus.

I had ice on the car a few weeks ago, not sure whether that should count as a frost... Nice this morning, especially as I was given a lift to work and so didn't have to defrost my own car...

First night with the head torches this evening on our walk. Didn't need them until we were heading home at 5:45 ish. I doubt that'll be the case tomorrow with all the cloud heading in.

Sunny all day, which was a nice change, and noticeably cooler than of late reaching 12.6°C. Already down to 5.3°C although not sure it’ll go a lot lower with the cloud moving in.

Fairly overcast here, 11.3C after getting to a low of 2.8C at around 1am before temperatures slowly began to creep back up.

Coldest night for me was last Saturday when my station registered a low of 2.5c.

Highest Temp of 18.7c on the 14th. Unlikely to see that sort of temperature again for a while.

I've measured 59.2mm of rain for October. No idea if that's above/below or in line with Average, but it seems to have been a relatively dry month to me. over a 3rd of that fell on one day (19th).

Temp got down to 2.7°C just after midnight, before it started rising again.

Some sunshine this morning, generally cloudy now, but bright. Temp 14.2°C

That is below the MetO average.
I'm at 66.8mm. I decided to derive the MetO averages of Bournemouth and Swanage  for rainfall/temps/sunshine (as I sit between them) so i could get an average of the two to pit my data against it - which works well. That MetO average is 103.3mm, so i'm well below.

Quite an odd day with lightbulb / hazy sun throughout, no blue sky and no cloud thicker than the 100% coverage of Cirrus. Maximum of 12.8c .

Another cold night last night with a low of 3.8°C although it didn't stay that low for long as the cloud moved in around midnight. Cloudy and cool all day reaching 13.7°C which felt colder than yesterday without the sun.
