Those showers have really got some intensity. Things looked light an hour ago but now theres reds popping up everywhere.

Forecast video on the met office shows those south west of the region under a streamer getting buried tomorrow.

hope those of us further north east manage to get a covering tonight.

Quite a hailstone rattler from the streamer moving in over south Manchester, most surfaces covered in the stuff now with a eery orange-glow from the setting sun lighting up the mid-layers.

Looks really good- perhaps 12am - 3am 

plenty of precip around, should be cold enough by midnight onwards

The 12 gfs has snow showers crossing the region on Saturday with the flow turning more westerly.

The updated ICON also shows this.

The 12z GFS places Sunday's low a bit further south than the earlier run. It is still good for the southern half of our region but we don't want any more shifts south.

Also caught up with an hail shower on way back from the Trafford Centre. It happened roughly hour ago.

Just caught the edge of a nearby rainshower. The down-draught and evaporative cooling was enough to bring the temperature down significantly. Currently 6.1°C, dp 2.3°C.
