So reading all the comments has it moved north ?  The actual amount is probably guess work with 50-100 miles being mentioned but maybe that would align with what the met forecast has been consistent with all day regards north Midlands snow event

12z to 18z further south. Focus still to the west surprisingly for me as most other models as per meto update include areas further east.

Latest gfs has it further south again but radar looks further North who will win. Fight lol. This is great Drama.

I'd ignore it... the met office have far more, higher resolution models an up to date data than the GFS, and they're sticking with their more northern track.

Weirdly BBC has upgraded my area tomorrow, an extra hour of heavy snow.

The main dissapointment isnt the fact its further south as you can see from the gfs and most models stoke, my area and many others are still going to see a fall of 5cm maybe 10 or more in places. However the speed in which the precip moves through and loses intensity is the main reason for lower predicted totals. Previously heavy snowfall was likely for 12 hours now i think majority are looking at heavy snow (1.5-2cm per hour) between 5/6 am till 10am ish. Still in perspective it hasnt snowed for a few years so in that regard its being greedy based on charts of 24 hours ago.

I do find it rather odd I have to say, I don't think I've seen quite so much disagreement between models and met office.

Showing a max of 1.5 inches (less than 4 cm). Better than nothing but pitiful compared to what was expected not long ago. From potentially 15-30 cm of snow the past few days to actually getting 4 cm. To think I've been really excited all week about seeing my first really significant snow in 7 years. Made myself look like a complete idiot to everyone I know.

Hold on, does that have it turning to rain for Rushden?!

*starts complaining about the Rushden snow shield*

Heaviest precip gone from yellow lines to red over last 24 hours . Doesnt rule out all of the midlands though.

Last time for me was December 2010. Seen small falls since, mostly slop and had many disappointments living in London.

BBC and Met Office forecasts continue to decrease the length of heavy snow here. 3 hours down from 12.

Good news though. My home town of Harrow, Greater London is now forecast snow. If they get more snow than me, I won’t know whether to laugh or cry!
