Ok so I’ve just finished my morning reading in the MAD thread. Still looking good although some posters would make you believe otherwise.

As for the GFS 06z :shok:

Okay after today's runs I'm now making changes to my work schedule as a precaution quite a few runs are now showing this form of setup on to many runs now i cant ignore the possabilities and hope it goes away. It's so severe even a downgrade between the lesser models we still have snow.

Just been to Morrisons, I hovered by the de-icer and rock salt for a minute or two. Then thought I’d give it a day or two longer.. when do I start warning my boss about this so we can plan?! I work in healthcare too but don’t want to look like a fool if it goes Pete tong!

I would wait until this high is sorted out over us first. I don’t think a clear(er) picture will be apparent until mid week to be honest. Ens suites aren’t even close to agreeing. More runs needed!

I don't think the 15 cocktails and several pints are conducive to much sliding motion today...

Err think my weather station is having a bad day! Either that or it knows something! It always breaks when there's interesting weather on the horizon :cc_confused:

Shouldn’t forget the ICON since it’s been used in the MAD thread, which is just before the GFS

Well, have just finished my morning's preparations for the oncoming mini-ice age post 21st Feb:

Shovels x 24 (check)

Bread x 72 loaves (check)

Milk (full fat) x 132 pints (check)

Huskies x 4 + 2 extra large sleighs (check)

I'll get the pot noodles and salt in early next week before bunkering down for the next three weeks.

After much mocking from this part of dartmoor ICON has been the most consistent and therefore the best model going....until it does a mild run obviously

Temperature forecasts were way off the mark again, for this morning. No mention of fog, either. It got down to -0.3°C, so we had frost and fog.

Currently 10.3°C and sunny spells.
