June's rainfall off to a start with 11mm in about half an hour! There sure is a lot of moisture energy still. I wouldn't be too sure of the current dry forecast for tomorrow becoming reality.

Finally the suns come out after a cloudy day. The fog briefly came back in as the sun started coming out but didn’t last long. 17.2°C.

Managed a couple of hours of sun before the cloud rolled in again. Not feeling confident about the weekend for sunshine!

Greetings from the bordering region and thanks for allowing me to post here. My first post of  what is generally recognised as being the start of the meteorological summer.

It was a year ago today that saw the beginning of what turned out to be the best spell of weather for the whole summer of 2017 here in St Leonards-on-Sea( East Sussex ).

No repeat of that today though and this week we seem to have paid the price for last weekends fantastic Bank Holiday weather. It's been gloomy pretty much since then with varying degrees of mist, murk and muck with a bit of rain thrown in for good measure. Oh and not a storm in sight despite all the warnings. On a positive note we did get around 3 hours of decent sunshine on Wednesday afternoon here.

Today saw a continuation of the low cloud and mist, with temperatures struggling up to 17.8c.

Hoping for an improvement this weekend with the Hastings Jazz and Blues Festival and Hastings Town and Country Show taking place.

Lovely out there this morning. Bit of a breeze and a few Cumulus clouds. Great stuff.

Looks like I’ll take another trip into Bournemouth. Can anyone down that neck of the woods tell me if there’s any sea mist as an issue?

Always worth looking at the following if you want to check before you leave:

Looks like some mist out in the channel but locally it's a good one..

Warm sunshine and barely a cloud in the sky in Bournemouth. Beautiful

Brrr, you certainly live on the cool side of life, here it peaked @ 23.7°C at: 12:26 and is currently 21.4°C

I’m not used to these sea breezes having lived inland until a couple of years ago. :cold:

An actual proper, normal British summer day!

Not crystal clear all day or with persistent low cloud/risk of showers as has been the case for so long.

Started with broken Stratocumulus that gradually convected into TCu and fair weather Cumulus before dissipating through the afternoon leaving unbroken sunshine and Cirrus. Perfect maximum of 23.2c and a refreshing breeze.

yes, a lovely day so far (as indeed was yesterday)....As Knocker posted in the short term model thread yesterday, clearer air has made its way into our region and it's a welcome change for the cloud & humidity from last week!

Much warmer today than yesterday with a lighter breeze. Got up to 21.2°C earlier,  now down to 18.6°C but still feels warm.
