More akin to lower pressure in the 1020s. Currently 1035mb, isobars far apart, uppers not in the warm category yet. I’d expect the above conditions to become more prevalent through tomorrow when we pick up a southwesterly.

Low cloud and drizzle will likely be more prevalent later tonight into tomorrow as the high retreats a little further southeast but still enough of an Atlantic west to southwest flow today to bring enough moisture in.

Funnily enough it’s been brighter with broken cloud since midday. Must’ve been a very slight disturbance to bring some drizzle to parts earlier on.

Making the most of sunnier glimpses today. Sunshine levels look limited for most of next week which will be very depressing.

Catch 22 situation. Much drier than December but also much duller.

Another boring dull day, no drizzle but even thicker cloud nearby so could be some with that if it comes over here. 8.4°C

The high is just to our south its allowing a moist westerly flow across the region which explains the drizzle and these drizzly conditions likely persisting for the rest of today overnight and at times tomorrow not everywhere but some places.

Yup, the second passing area was rain and not drizzle, like the first..

I was in Truro today dodging heavy showers from large Cu/Cb and looking at the midday sounding I'm not sure why

A grey start with a little drizzle in the air. Did start to brighten up with some nice blue sky appearing mid morning, but it has been drizzly and gone grey again last hour.
Little recorded rain this month so far, since the drizzle on Thursday and Friday and the drizzle this morning, 0.8mm  total, with 0.2mm today.

Now 8c, very light WSW wind.

Pretty much drizzle for most of the day here, but did seem to fade around 4ish, and the very light breeze, seems to have died a death, suspect we will see something a lot different through the early part of this week..

Another dull day,but looks like a shed load of rain due later. Looking at my Facebook feed from 10 yrs ago and lovely, snowy scenes. Not much chance of seeing a repeat this week

Cloudy and breezy with some sunny intervals, mild too at 8C. Later's rain looks quite heavy but also brief, only last an hour or two if the current speed maintains.

I really should start a tally of how many days the sky clears just after the sun has set!
