The temperature here at midnight was 10.1°C before slowly dropping 9°C where it stayed until the front passed through at around 9am, and it dropped to 7°C... it remained rather consistent through the day, rising to 8.2°C this afternoon.

A sunny day today with the odd bit of cloud floating around, but much more pleasant than the endless grey we've endured over the past few days.

Turning cold with clear skies and lighter winds this evening, down to 4.5°C

When I agreed to do a mornings work on 4th January my dreamer mind hoped for a frost, even frozen ground to enjoy.

However everything is a muddy wet mess but at least it’s dry lol.

No frost here. A low of 3.2°C.

Back to gloom again. Temp 9.0°C.

A bit of good news for me; Ecowitt have sent out a new lightning detector to test. Perfect for storms in 2025.

Wouldn't think we're in an area of high pressure. Cloudy, breezy, mild and generally meh.

Feels more like March!

You’d be moaning even more if you had drizzle and rain like it is here!

True. That would just be unnecessary.

The high is just to our south its allowing a moist westerly flow across the region which explains the drizzle and these drizzly conditions likely persisting for the rest of today overnight and at times tomorrow not everywhere but some places.

Mostly cloudy here after a sunny start.

More akin to lower pressure in the 1020s. Currently 1035mb, isobars far apart, uppers not in the warm category yet. I’d expect the above conditions to become more prevalent through tomorrow when we pick up a southwesterly.
