It's been very nice weather today. 22c max and mostly sunny - some periods with high level clouds.

I also have a question that is not weather related (sorry) - somebody in my close family got a sore throat and cough recently, they still have it, but I also have one now. Do you think it could be corona?

Ask in the Covid thread Leon1. They're all experts in there.

Actually dont. They're not. Follow the gov.uk guidelines.

I can see the cloud to the South from here....just.

Tomorrow's rain doesn't look like amounting to much?! If the UKV is correct, some in the region won't see any rain from it.

1 mm of rain today so far, most around 1am and a little drizzle this morning.
With that 0.4mm of rain on April 6th, total rain this month is 1.4mm so far.
Forecast is showing some more showers today, hopefully that will bring some.

But then walking around the vegetable and flower garden with a hose and watering can daily has been good exercise at home.

Drizzle has stopped here again now, the band appears to be fragmenting as it pushes north, same will be likely later on as showers/storms move inland from the south coast.

Persistent light rain since mid morning. There's a nice fresh smell in the air and the garden will be loving it!

Some interesting shots posted this morning in face ache, on Raging Skies by Andrea Guest from PortlandWeymouth, showing an arcus formation as the front edge of the inbound rain arrived... (also on Southern UK Storm chasers group)..

A couple more from this morning...

Not expecting much tonight, but I'll be out in the garden. I love it that these imports often coincide with weekend evenings. Sitting out with the camera and a few beers is pretty perfect in my book.

Not much going on since this morning in terms of rain. We had a sharp shower around 15 minutes ago when I was out on my walk.

10.6°C which is the highest it has been this afternoon

I spoke too soon, some heavy rain rattled through just after half 3. It appears to be brightening up now with the rain clearing north.

11.4°C

Todays' figures go like this...rainfall 9.4mm (so far, ever hopeful) and temperature maximum of 13.4°C at: 17:41..

Somebody could be lucky with the left hand (upper) import, whilst the right hand (lower) appears to be off up the English Channel...
