watching that band of PPN coming in via CG, it looks like it's being absorbed by Stoke

This is what I think I meant earlier, I could not see how any real sign of Cheshire gap activity but this could easily intensify, has done in the past.  I would not rule out the odd shower here or there.

feels cold out, not even a breeze.

edit - just from what I looked through earlier - the amount of PPN seems more than modeled?

Snowing in North S-o-T.  Big 50p'ers!!!

Looks like the Cheshire Gap streamer has finally made it to us

Very wet snow here. Tiny flakes.

Got up to 2.5C around our general area about an hour ago, but temp and DP are rapidly dropping now, so should 'improve' quickly

Temperature has dropped and the snow has turned to rain

Just got in from work cold and chilly today with sunny spells for a time in the morning.

Temps got upto around 5c expect that to be falling away now. We did not get alot of snow in first place but all that remains is thawing rapidly.

Seen from previous posts snow chances look slim in next few days. Not to worry least I have seen a flake or 2.

Hopefully if we get the decent cold in end of week hopefully we will get rid of these marginal temps so we all can have snow chances.

Just had a quick glance at the radar I think it's very unlikely any of the Cheshire gap showers reach my way as have watched these many a time in the past go a mile north or south. Most likely would be cold rain at these temps.

Stoke getting the best of it again greedy

Onwards and upwards hope everyone had a good day.

Now to catch up on the model thread madness.

Wonder what this will bring...

honestly think we will end up under a conveyor belt of showers as things become more unstable. BBC automated (yes useless) has changed since 3pm to 10pm-10am snow showers/ heavy snow showers. which is strange as everything else has gone opposite way

I have to say for this neck of the woods this snow event of the last couple of days has been very very disappointing any dusting we had thought straight away no covering here at all.

Same here. The Euro4 is really the only model going for this. I guess whatever in-house models the BBC and Met Office use must be as well.

The trajectory of the Cheshire gap showers has changed and are now heading our way. The system pulling away into the English Channel is pulling them around.

Problem is, they won’t get this far. Maybe someone north of Wolverhampton might catch further flurries or snizzle.

Not lost much snow, taken at 1pm, hope we can keep snow as long as possible, make walks miles better during quarantine

Completely agree, we've retained most of the snow here too, a few cms still remain and the hills are still as covered as they were yesterday. Snowy walks on the hills in tier 4 are about as good as it gets at the moment (Tragic as it sounds)
