Considering how long she's been doing the job, she is still hopeless!

Just like yesterday, just had to drive into Birmingham for work about an hour ago. Again, very little on the ground east of West Bromwich. Could see the decaying showers to the north east. Interestingly, hit a light rain shower on the Aston Expressway. No evidence of any snow at all here in the city centre. Just damp.

We have been very very lucky in the Black Country. Only a few miles from disappointment.

Does anyone know if there’s any showers knocking about the Midlands tonight? Not had chance to look yet

Just had a look at the latest ICON and GFS. Several areas of snow moving down from the north. Someone could get a big dumping. I won’t get lucky for the third time in a week, will I?

Send some my way

I wonder if any of these showers building to the east will be of any interest to us later?

I thought we would have a better chance from NW as winds will be coming from that direction

Cold crisp nite looks on offer cant see much on the radar troubling us. Hope a nice frost forms over the lying snow ❄. Thursday looks like our next chance but still unsure on track.

Have calculated mean snow depth for the last two day mornings periods here in the staffs moorlands.

28th =14.5cm

29th = 7.5cm

         = 22cm

         = 81/2 inches

As December's go I'll give it two gold stars.

ICON, Arome, Euro4, Aperge and UKV all look good for Thursday. Here are some snap shots from the UKV. I tend to ignore when the models show more of a wintry mix towards Stoke and further west as they normally overestimate the affect of the low lying Cheshire Plain.

Is that the Net weather model? I thought it would have said UKV in the bottom right?

If theres anything the past couple of days have taught us;

1) Being a west brom fan is about as enjoyable as scraping nails on a chalkboard

2) Nothings a cert at the moment, seen some stunning snowfall the past couple of days! I wouldnt write anything off at all.
