Snow pictures from the best years

So these are a few from 15th January this year on one of my “lockdown walks”. It was as cold as it looks!

Although the 2018 BFTE brought more severe cold and wind, the one from late March 2013 brought our worst blizzard of fine powder snow since 1979.

The last two pictures are from much later, the weekend after Easter 2021when a streamer dropped around 10 inches of snow in just a few hours and the following morning brought some amazing wintry scenes.

The snow we had December 2017.  Picture of the bottom half of my back garden, top of the garden and the wood backing onto the top of my garden.  Unfortunately I seem to recall the snow did not hang around for long

Remember being jealous of that event. It was very much a west Midland, cs England affair. We had nothing. It was overnight Friday and made for a great snowy Saturday wonderland run up to Christmas. Alas it was gone the next day.

These pictures were taken in the cold spell of February 1991 Barnsley, South Yorkshire, my next door neighbour Phil with his car and my dad with Phil's two sons clearing snow.

The only time I've ever come anything close to those snow depths was 2nd February 2009.

thought i recognised it ..its on beeches road..literally two streets down from where i used to live
