Getting fairly dark and hills filling in to my sw where the decent echo coming from.

I'd love it to be heavy graupal and snow.

Pleased any solar heating will be over now.

Slowed down for now but melting pretty much stopped.

Currently 0.1c with a dew of -0.2 so right side of marginal again.

Here wishing us all a fun and snowy evening and night. Hopefully everyone will get into the act before it clears tomorrow 🤞🌨️

The latest GFS (12Z) looks like it's upped the potential for snow at low levels in my opinion, as instead of the warm air pushing a little further north between 18Z and 00Z today, if anything it sinks southwards a little, while precipitation is still forecast to be substantial in west and south Yorkshire and west Lincolnshire.  In addition to this, much of the region retains a fair amount of precipitation through to 06Z when the cold air digs in.  Still very marginal at low levels of course, but even a fractionally colder outcome could lead to a higher percentage of us waking up to a covering tomorrow.

Absolutely pathetic here and we’re 430 ft ASL.  Looking at the radar, it’s just not going to happen up here, despite amber warnings.  Good luck to everyone else though.  Nothing like a whiteout to lift the mood😀🍻

Roofs here are starting to turn white again. Ironically i could've gone to Bradford but I'll go tomorrow and save the dashcam footage.

Nothing of note here. Had chunky snow showers on & off throughout afternoon but nothing laid at all. A very underwhelming afternoon 😕.

Light rain/ sleet here 2.C ..it was Light snow this morning but nearly all melted,  weather warnings all week here for snow 2cm in 4 days hardly requires a weather warning imo.

Snow is at last back and the temp has dropped to 0.6c and with a dew of 0c. Radar looks good for the next few hours at least. Might make a trip to the park just before it turns properly dark..

Think we must be the only places without decent falls.  Just our luck!

Heavy stuff has returned. Temperatures on the drop again. Turning into a classic snowfall.

I wonder if that heavy precipitation over Lancashire can make it over into our region could be fun and games if it does

Looking the radar animation I think we are starting to see the pivot begin over Ireland.  The precip is still moving north east across England but there are hints in the circled area of some slight east south east movement.  A good sign because it means everything to the west is eventually heading for us! 😁

I think we’ll see continued north east movement of the precip over England for a good few hours yet, but the pivot point will start to become more obvious:as the evening progresses.

Yeah and once that easterly airflow is pulled in on that northern flank precip to the east will develop and get pulled in two 🙂
