so............ Yorkshire have another ‘event’.

The wait for frontal snow and more than a dusting continues.

Some slush on the grass its probably hail. Anyway I'm surprised it's cleared though already, might be a decent morning on the Costa del Merseyside. Maybe we can get some sunshine I miss yesterday already ☀️

Yep, mum called to say they've got some more snow. Looked on facebook and the neighbour across the road has posted a snowy picture and the usual news of traffic stick in sheffield. They've had a decent amount.

To be fair, I don't think anyone was expecting anything significant away from areas to the North and East of Manchester, so from the reports I've seen, the amber warning zone was broadly correct. Looks like the metoffice got this largely correct.

Snowing but definitely more sleety now and it looks like the back edge is pretty much here now it’s looking like what we have now is going to be the lot.

Not sure how much as actually fallen as it’s pretty much all blown against walls and kerbs but I’d say a couple of inches max but I’d imagine there are some decent drifts in exposed areas and that the tops have some pretty hefty amounts by now.

Well, as expected woken up to nothing but rain here, evidence of snow falling earlier though, some remnants still on the grass. Looks some tricky travel conditions further north & East in the region... stay safe if anyone is having to venture out in it this morning.

Interesting chance of thundery showers this afternoon. CAPE values up to 300. Needs watching.

Have a light covering of snow here I'm Audenshaw. More than I expected and that was zero due to me being only 97m asl. Looks pretty bad high over the M62 summit on traffic cams.

Woke up to more than I expected here on the coast, albeit settled-but-slushy. Expected just rain. With the oncoming easterly, looking ahead to either convective coastal Irish Sea showers or a decent prolonged battleground breakdown .
