I think the ppn is due to pep up later tonight into tomorrow.  Day time today was showing as quiet from what I could see.

See what happens later

Tomorrow looks the best chance of catching a few snow showers as Thursday looks like it will be back to dry again with the temps edging up a bit

An impressive period of cold. Third consecutive ice day, doesn't happen very often!

Fingers crossed we get a present from the North Sea snow machine over the next 48hrs.

Lovely walking weather, everything crunchy and hard instead of rank mud everywhere!

I just want enough snow to build a snowman. Don’t think it’s going to happen for us unfortunately!

You might just be able to make a 2D snowman, does that count 😂

The ppn which signify a change of wind direction back to the N, is heading on this path.  Its also intensifying.  Lets hope the trend continues...Could contain: Plot, Chart, Map, Atlas, Diagram, Vegetation, Plant, Nature, Outdoors

Don't get me wrong, I love the snow. It's still on the ground, fog and frosty as well. This is a close 2nd for me, no mild mush this time of year thank you 😉

-4C here now, the blobs on the radar top of Northumberland are heading south but appear to be reducing in intensity, is it going to be another frustrating night for me lamp post watching😑

Radar looks promising so far.  Showers look like they've intensified in parts as they move south.  Good night of radar watching hopefully and looking forward to the potential! Its already snowing in Berwick.

It strange the radar after 9 makes these showers vanish! or should I say as they hit Teesside... where have I heard that before lol.

I'd take no notice personally.  Nowcasting is what's needed and so far looks decent.  The meto wouldn't have issued a warning covering 4 days.  I got a few cm here the other night with no warning so I'm hopeful.

Saying that we'll have to just wait and see I suppose lol

I’m hoping we’ll see something by about 10pm. We still have some snow lying from Sunday.

Really regretting putting my Christmas tree in the bay window! Usually my lamppost watching spot, didn’t expect to sit there much before January.
