Rating this winter,

What are you all rating this winter out of 10

My honest opinion is 2

I would of gone 1 but we have seen a few light snow showers and had some frosty nights, I have seen winters that have produced absolutely nothing, so I've gone for 2.  We have had nothing of interest weather wise in teesside since last summer's 40 degrees.  I'm very disappointed I was hoping for much more.  Sorry for the negative post but I'm just so let down by our winters now.

I give it a 3.  That spell in December does't happen often and was very cold.  Then January had a spell.  Both were relatively snowless though.  Then this spell.

Can I ask, possibly a stupid question.
The snow charts on netweather - which model do they put their data from?

I’m presuming they aren’t the most accurate, a lot like the weather apps?

For my location this has been the most snowless winter of the last 10 years (December-February) with only 7 days when falling snow was observed.

There was a couple of decent cold spells though so i'll give it 3/10.

My thoughts too..  We were close to getting snow in both spells, just got a NW instead of Northerly

The Weather warning for Durham etc has only just kicked in at 5 and goes till 7am, so the Met are also seeing potential

Always loved the French.

This goes against MO warnings though which doesn’t cover us?

Well I can't fault your persistence seabreeze 😂 I hope it comes off just for that alone 👍

As you probably know I've throw in the white towel now for this winter, roll on some warm spring nights.

That shower is what we need tonight.  I bet that thing would drop 2-3 inches its slow moving.  Its looking likely the showers will spread south when the winds change laterCould contain: Chart, Plot, Map, Atlas, Diagram, White Board

Snowing in Washington.  3/10 intensity bit sticking to most surfaces.  Nice to see although looks like it'll be over in no time..

Hopefully the start of a night of showers......

There is a trend for the showers to develop before the land offshore which is a good one!!!

Well everything went way North than expected today. The wind vectors showing boundary between the slack Northerly flow & Westerly organised low system. Going to be nerve racking few days ahead & into next week as models flip/flopping so much.

Good to see a return of Greeny heights to keep us in the game ahead

Having seen so many of these south to north events, it does not surprise me.  Sometimes they don't get as far north by 100 miles too!

This is a good trend.  If it continues, will be better than last night for many
