Temperature now down to zero, humidity 77%, only very light flurries of very small snows and the dew point is now at -3deg.C.

Diablo, he say nuffin. He's just sat there smoking a cheap cigarello with his sombrero pulled down over his eyes. He a erse.

 

Sorry, dp just gone down to -4deg.C this second.

Gawd, this weather watching is becoming exhausting!   I am slowly becoming tuned to the moon!   All the promised good stuff appears to be inching forward just out of reach one day at a time.

I am starting to HATE models, charts, Greenland highs, Scandy highs, high pressures, low pressures, isobars, MJOs, PDOs, AOs temperatures, dew points, stratospheric warmings, inversions,  convections, dam lines... Oh! and I also forgot the chief dish at dinner, TBFTE!! etc etc etc.   THEN!!   that little Fruechie... erm... person, nonchalantly posts up the conundrum of how to calculate the wet bulb  temperature!!!...  Whit?!!

We had a pleasant walk this morning and found no snow of course. A good 2nd best was this mass of appropriately named chaps. We reckoned in the order of 5000 flowers here.

Currently -1.5C, slowly falling. We had a few flakes flittering around this in the middle of the day, none since that I've seen.  I'm thinking of pointing my incredibly bright security lamp vertically up but I'm concerned that it'll melt the few flakes that come our way. Wishful thinking.

Very sensible too. It's a beer fridge, you don't put food in there, it would take up space meant for beer.

There's a packet of smoke salmon that became two packets of smoke salmon right after the game today finished when my daughter that brings me smoked salmon brought me another packet of smoked salmon.

Didn't have to wait long for the next one. Started again as graupel or snow pellets then powdery flakes. Easing off a bit now but more to come I think.

Fickle things these showers.

After a gang of them came through at teatime there's been nought since then.

Lovely crystal clear skies though and currently -1.8c with light winds.

Radar hinting that the showers will visit again later tonight
