Only a couple of centimetres of fresh snow in Aberdeen fell overnight. In undisturbed areas we have been consistently sitting at around on average 4-7cm of snow since Monday morning. although not nearly as much snow as quite a few in here, I’m pretty happy overall despite last night under performing. I imagine the snow melt will be off the charts over the next few days for us in the north.

This afternoon’s snow took close to good hour to get really get going in Aberdeen. Overall a few hours of steady light to moderate snow with intensity ranging from 3/10 to a peak of 8/10. Averaged about a 5-6/10. This brought about an additional 1-1.5cm probably. Been taking multiple measurements in the same several locations over the past couple days. (Representative of Aberdeen city centre area) yesterday morning the snow depth was 5cm then that was up to 7cm yesterday 3pm, had more snow after that so probably 8cm yesterday evening. Was back to 5.5cm this morning and probably sitting 6-6.5cm currently. heavy snow showers expected in Aberdeen Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
