Yep! I’m about 6 miles SE of Perth near sea level and been getting hammered since 5am with rounds of ridiculously heavy snow. Final total measured is 11cm or so.
Icon 6z shifting the precip south and brings the core of the precipitation to the central belt. Other models either agree or disagree significantly. A pain
Big drop in temperature in the last hour here, was 1.9C an hour ago , now 1.1C. Heaviest precip expected after 9pm with it peaking around midnight here. Sleet , wet snow or buried in snow is still in question though...
Models pushed the wintry mix for tonight back a couple hours for this evening. Heaviest precipitation for Perth area will be 10pm-midnight. Bit earlier north of there and bit later south of there. Arpege a good 1C colder for most now this evening which could increase snow risks….
I don't expect much if any snow for many across Tayside and Fife as well as parts of C/SE Scotland for low levels and coasts. Am expecting locally 1-2cm to low levels but mostly above 200m where I expect 2-5cm widely, with 10cm+ possible in places.
