Sleety yuck now on in East Lothian

It's been a strange one today, it's not rain - then it is rain. It's then freezing rain, then sleet, then some graupel, then some Ice Pellets. Complete mash up on radar just now.. few pink areas beginning to develop across the borders.

Properly snowing here now at near sea level!!!

0.2C now after maxing out at 0.3C lol. Heavy rain. Tesco just delivered and the lovely lady hasn't seen any snow falling all afternoon in Lanarks/Borders at all.

One minute it’s raining then it’s snow/hail then back to rain it really doesn’t know what to do must be so borderline either way

Sneaked out to the Fairy Glen at last light, flow's a bit up due to a slight thaw in the catchment. This is the lower waterfall...

Heavy wet snow here now and sticking.

Odd flake of something in the air here. 0.5C. Wind still light from the west though so N Sea influence not yet having an impact maybe?

Back hame at fort SS and a heavy mixture of snizzly graupelly wettish by mainly frozen stuff that wuid look sort of like snaw tae a blind man in a hurry oan a dairk nicht.

Lying and turning the gairden white which is the main thing.

Certainly snowing hard now on the traffic camera at Glen Ogle. Still nothing but rain here.

Most snow in 3 years here as I can't see my grass anymore.... Party time... Cant wait to feel the rage when it turns to rain

Turned to sleet here.

We had a bit of snow half an hour ago but now......I'm not sure what it's doing. Whatever it is, it's noisy, wet and it bounces.

Back to sleet now. A cm or so of slush. Really quite unpleasant!

Snow settling here but it’s just a slushfest if the precipitation was a bit heavier it would help,,I much prefer convective showers rather than frontal bands

Very thin coating of something here, road looks like freeing rain other bits look like bit of snow, tops of cars etc.

Interesting to read the reports come in. Ice pellets and freezing rain were a staple of my winters in Toronto but are very rare over here. We’ve already seen a couple of events this winter - fascinating.

Still dry in the East Neuk, 2c. Wish I had the thrill of the chase even if it ended up in disappointment!
