Models are 50/50 on whether the band holds intensity as it pushes into Northern England. My guess is it will but the heavy stuff likely wont be snow - it's the persistent light snow on the northern half of the front. So accumulations should be rather limited (1-4cm over 200m ish).

Rain here, about 8 miles north of here at same elevation is heavy snow.

Moderate but not heavy, already trying to settle.

Going to be a quick transition and a strong North – South temp gradient. Watching my station here and my other station in Crosby as the gradient increases, temp at Crosby dropping.

A very quick temperature drop.

Bingley Met Office station (280m) 6.c with a DP of 4.c at 10pm

Leeds Bradford airport station (200m) 1.c with a DP of 1.c at 10:20pm 

In the space of 20 minutes the temperature dropped 5.c

It certainly wont be that heavy, that particular burst of convection wont be sustained this far south unfortunately.

Early days you wern't suppost to see any accumulation until 1am anyways. 100m up and it'll have accumulated nicely.
