Models are 50/50 on whether the band holds intensity as it pushes into Northern England. My guess is it will but the heavy stuff likely wont be snow - it's the persistent light snow on the northern half of the front. So accumulations should be rather limited (1-4cm over 200m ish).

Intense echoes on radar. What's the intensity like?

Moderate but not heavy, already trying to settle.

Going to be a quick transition and a strong North – South temp gradient. Watching my station here and my other station in Crosby as the gradient increases, temp at Crosby dropping.

Good sign for later that evaporative cooling is indeed playing ball.

Don’t think the band will reach the NW. Time for bed.

We are not getting enough intensity to form any real cover, edging towards it being a flop.

Little bit of extra height makes all the difference. Just rain here.
