A more cloudy day here fire misty and frosty! Start, an impressive minus 0.2C . Pond has dried up completely which it didn’t do last year despite the long dry spells.

The cheap and nasty weather station I'm currently using recorded 2.0c, though going by the state of the geraniums and marigolds suspicion is that it was lower than that in reality (though not below freezing as the beans would have been black).  The local Met Office WOW station recorded a low of 1.8c.

No frost tonight, shield of cloud moved in during mid-evening...

Went to Campsie show today, cracking neck of the woods near Lenzie/Kirkintilloch. Reliably informed all the main drug dealers live there and can see why.

Fantastic weather, already feeling warm. On Wunderground some sites near Glasgow are already showing 22c. Back home should get to 23/24c and a nice evening for a BBQ 😎

Another very warm day with temps into the low to mid 20s. Just noticed that there might be a new grassland fire somewhere to the east I as I can see a huge plume of smoke rising into the air. Can't see any mention of anything on the news yet though.

Not for the first time recently Edinburgh Airport is a full 5c lower than Gogarbank. 19c at 7pm vs 14c. Only 2 miles apart! Cracking day here. Lovely stuff.

Very well noted.  The airport is on the plain adjacent to the Firth so may be a minor sea breeze?  Gogarbank is behind the main RBOS complex behind trees in a different environment.  So that’s it, much too hot air inland from the Firth!

Another gorgeous day, this is turning into a memorable spell of settled weather.

Bit more in the way of cloud around than of late but still plenty of sunshine, max of 19.6c with light winds.

Low cloud lurking with intent over towards the NE this evening though not stopping another nice sunset...

Morning all! Cool and cloudy here, light breeze, so midges won't be a problem in the garden today. No rain forecast in the foreseeable, so the watering can will be deployed for the veggies today. And tomorrow, and the day after.....🙄. Everything parched, I expect a hosepipe ban soon, NW Highlands looking dodgy. 😬 Probably have a few more wildfire episodes like last week near Snecky. Worrying. 😟

Another incredible day. Change of scenery today went on a walk just over the border into the Scottish borders off the A7. A stroll about 200/250m asl so was a bit cooler.

Back home, 23.8c currently. A carbon copy for yesterday and Friday.

North Sea murk was slow to clear today, the grey shield not breaking until lunchtime - and returning quickly just after teatime...

Could contain: Grass, Nature, Outdoors, Sky, Landscape, Cloud, Field, Grassland, Scenery, Land

Under the murk, temperatures around 11c - but in the sunshine in the afternoon, a lovely high of 19c with generally light winds.

Signs of drought now showing in prone areas, could do with some showers of rain now.

Hawthorn in full bloom and looking wonderful...

It was lovely here on Saturday and we managed 17c with a lighter sea breeze. Yesterday it stayed grey until lunchtime and it’s the same today.

However I was up at Glenshee yesterday doing some hillwalking. The patchy cloud was welcome, it was hot work. Interesting drive home. 21c in Glenshee dropped to 18c around Blairgowrie and then 14c at Dundee. Stayed at that until I got home. Nice illustration of the North Sea air conditioner.

Similar to yesterday, a large cumulus cloud has formed since lunch over the Moffat Hills.  Now drifting south to the west of us, and looking quite dark and threatening.

Some of the Hawthorn bushes around our area at the moment look whiter than they are after full day blizzard. Some of the broom looks particularly yellow too, so a good year for blossom so far. The bees seem to have been making the most of it as we think we'll get a good amount off soon, which has not normally been the case this early on in recent years.

Luck ran out today, the Aberdeenshire Permagloom™ shield was too strong for the sun and as a result a cool and sunfree day.

Max of 12.5c accompanied by a steady easterly breeze, this carrying with it occasional spits of drizzle.

Cloudy nearly all day but signs of drought in every field. Never usually do it but decided to see if I could make it rain by getting a sprinkler for the garden veg . Have our own well so just ourselves at risk of running out of water. Maybe this coming weekends rain will turn up

Lovely day visiting my nana at Southerness last night, a very quiet beach walk. Warmest of the year so far, max 24.6c.

Today, climbed a wee hill which has good views over the solway. Gained prominence in the 18th century as a vantage point where government guards watched for smugglers from the Isle of Man. Max 23.8c

More June gloom, overcast and 13c/8c.

Memories of this spell will contrast sharply, definite east/west divide. Here it’s been more miss than hit with 5 of the last 9 days wholly or mostly cloudy. Yet to reach 21c/70f this year although that’s not particularly unusual for my location in early June.

Sun trying its best to break the Permagloom™ but with no luck so far.  Light easterly breeze and the max so far is the current 13.1c.

The warm up forecast from the weekend onwards looks pretty good.

The cloud did not break here yesterday and no sign so far of it clearing today. Feeling cool but humid at the same time. 14.5C
