People all over Scotland in my gardening group are reporting geese going south now. Wee bit early is it not?

Interesting, strong believer in more the geese heading south the worse the coming winter will be.

Brilliant start to Autumn so far with plenty of sunshine and temps into the mid twenties.😎 Tomorrow looks hot again, maybe slightly warmer than today here with the chance we get one of those showers or storms heading north tomorrow. Tomorrow feels like one of those days where "the weather man got it wrong" and everyone heads out to school and work without a jacket only to be soaked mid afternoon... We'll see I guess, should be pretty isolated.. 😄

Any mist (and fog) all gone another lovely day! Just watching that small band of rain seems to be weakening tho

Pretty hideous. 26.7c atm, dewpoint over 19c. Full cloud cover and RH still holding over 70%.

Much preferred earlier in the week such as Monday when it was sunny, 22/23c with low humidity.

I'm longing for some rain, just to clear the air a bit. Never thought I'd hear myself say those words on here! 😁 There are some showers in the north of the island, but they seem to be missing out where I am. Och well, maybe tomorrow. Saturday looks like a better bet though, with a drop in temps too, so maybe get a decent night's sleep at some point over the next few days. Please, oh please.....!! 😴

@NorthernlightsThat doesn't look too dissimilar to my garden following the first grass cut after nearly 6 weeks of not being cut over the summer (3 weeks away on holiday and over 2 weeks waiting for the lawn tractor to get a new fuel pump fitted after it cut on my first time starting it after the hols).

A high of 25.0C here but cloudier than yesterday, and like elsewhere, feeling muggy with it. Still currently 18.7C and dead calm out.

Just a few miles away the early mist/fog burnt away quickly and temps shot up to 23.5C in strong sunshine. By afternoon cloud moved back in with just occasional brief breaks.

Joint warmest day of the year at Glasgow airport with 28C - equalling warmest September temperature on the same day in 2021. After the very disappointing weather following the record breaking June this has been a very welcome last hurrah for summer. The past week would make for a decent warm spell in the middle of summer let alone September and it just shows what’s possible this late in the year.

Sunny skies and a glorious 26.4c , highest of the year

Got up to 26.6c here too so just beat the highest June temperature of 26C. Last time that September  had the highest annual temp for me was 1998 when  the 20th hit over 26C.

What a cracking day? Thick haar burnt off before 9am here and has been beautiful ever since! Hit 27c early afternoon. Been a cracking week but due to work I've not seen much of it. Just a shame the sun's low enough now that the back garden misses it after about 6pm!

Bloody roasting in school today, but on the other hand it was nice to end the working week sat outside with a couple of beers once I got home. Now sat inside with a brandy and the house is still way too warm. Still 17.4C outside l, at 9pm, in September!
