Yeah the showers are definitely drifting further West as they drift South, first pic from 8pm and by 10pm can see they have got further west inland.

Just had a quick look outside and defo a few flakes on top of the frozen cars. Nothing to write home about but snow nonetheless 👍☃️☃️

Yes exactly the same here! Definitely a few flakes fallen, ground is spotted with like 1 white dot every 6 inches.... usually would be no evidence at all of what was obviously a 2-minute flurry but the first time I've seen any snow on the ground since April 2021

Nothing at all here last night, just another hard frost, frost over frost making it look kinda like snow in places.

Glad to see  that my alert for possible snow in the Midlands yesterday came to fruition.....🙃

Seriously though, it seems to have decayed as predicted but left a few flakes over both the east and west midlands.

Haven't checked the charts yet for today, but more of these events could occur,

Cloudy all night here with temps around -1,5C. As the cloud cleared just before daybreak it dropped to -2.5C, and has only slowly risen to -1.8C now. More misty than yesterday, but clear skies above,  reflect that there is more moisture in the air now, So one can be a bit more hopeful of snow showers,

All for now.

Very cold this morning.  So cold I couldn’t get my magnetic gate locks to work despite being protected overnight.  I am told me had a smattering of snow showers around 2.00am this morning.

Looks like showers beginning to head towards the Cheshire gap, but moving so slowly, it doesn't look as though they'll survive the trip this far.

Happy Fridays

Proper frosty out but some bright sun.  I get that there is a general mood of 'no snow..' but showers can still occur for the Mids.  Lot's of examples in the past, but also a lot of examples where we see nothing.  So, keeping an eye on short term developments only.

Someone help me out here too, Cheshire gap streamers don't tend to get picked up on models so keep an eye out there too.  Some pretty decent snow fall when that makes it this far in land.

Cheers!

I've noticed that they do tend to show on short-term models these days. Much less local knowledge required than used to be the case.

Met Office warnings suggest they will but I’m not convinced. Will just have to keep an eye on the radar.

Yeah, a bit of cloud coming over now, but I doubt there'll be more than a light flurry, which would still be very welcome!

Well Bedford had a dusting of snow grains overnight.... very crunchy!

And I notice MetO forecasting snow north and south of us..... keep those fingers crossed ❄️
