This is the fun part, well for me anyway.

I like the runup with less than 24 hours to go, will things go boom, or we just be stifled again with oppressive heat?

Warnings etc metcheck, metoffice, estofex, essl, Somthings got to be brewing..

The models are all over the place, classic was Ireland yesterday.

But its Friday and a cherry pick from the ECMWF.

Also some precip is slowly trundling about, scatty but its there on the radar.

Weak radar returns but might evaporate before it hits the surface.

Simply locking in all this day time heat…22.8c…22:10 is me….I would be impressed if this was July or August….but 8 days in to September is wow !!!

Its all changed regarding our world for sure

Current temperature according to the Davis on the roof mast is 22.9c. That would be notable in a July heatwave and is beyond  extraordinary in September.

To be honest I have been looking at the satellite this evening and thinking that mostly non-precipitating cloud is going to keep the temperature up overnight and then clear off to the north in the morning, giving a head start to the heat. Forecasting round here is a total guess but that has been my guess

18.5c last night was the highest 24 hr minimum in September since my records began in 1963, by a margin of 2.0c. It was also  the equal 4th highest minimum for any month.

The temperature had already reached 25.3c at 0900 g.m.t so the September maximum record ( 27.1c on the 7th in 2021 ) could also be under threat.

Going back to this morning, a quite dence mist, near on fog at 6:15am going through M54 J2 to J3, Van outside temp was reading 18c!

And now:

Some little cauliflower clouds are trying to build. (If this cap goes we are in for a hell of a show!)

Most indeed it will be, it cant be a el brumo again, clouds passing by. Elevation i think is the key and winds, what winds?
