Thunder started here in Medway. Unexpected.

Had a heavy hail shower in Huntingdon.

Storm looks to be heading North of me but at a perfect time for photos and can also see the Storm to the south of me, lunch time in a couple minutes so good timing.

Indeed. Off the my North West, and not a direct hit, sadly. Hopefully, this one can clear away and surface heating can generate more!!

That was an intense 5 minutes we had. Huge hail and intense lightning.

Richmond about an hour ago apparently had torrents of water going down the roads.. while I was 10 miles up the M3 and completely dry and sunny 

I saw the anvil on the storm that did go through Richmond quite a nice storm.

Had thunder again, it only lasted 15 minutes, prefer snow to be fair. Roll on winter 2025-2026

Great days weather sunny morning followed by a daytime thunderstorm with torrential rain around 1pm ish, then sunny there after, max temp of 18c.

This late May has felt like a proper May and this tops the last few May's with more days to go and this only from one of the two or three maybe even four Storm's I experienced today.

Was an unintentional afternoon of storm chasing. Daughter fell asleep in the car so shot down the M20 and got lucky, the turned around to get some more, then scooted up to the M25 and M2 to get the big line. Torrential rain almost stopping the motorway and plenty of lightning. 

I could get used to this!

Experienced a proper weather day today must have had 4/5 little storms pass through. One of them featured worst hail I’ve seen in 6+ years was quite exciting but plants haven’t taken to it well.

Good morning everyone. Some great photos over the last couple of days.  No thunder here yesterday; Mr SH messaged at 11:40 to say there was a big thunderstorm where he works NNW of Bedford.  Where I was circa 30 miles south east just had cloud, some light drizzle then a downpour with a rain rate of 68.6 according to weather station.   Which looked and sounded impressive, although daily total was only 4.2mm.   Sun came out and from mid afternoon it remained sunny and pleasant with the sky to northwest staying light until after I headed for bed.  Yesterday's top temperature was 17.5°C.  

Currently overcast,    13°C, 76% humidity and wind from a WSW directions has picked up in the last hour.  Pressure 1010 hPa steady.

what a miserable day, it feels like we're back to winter again with the slight glance of sunshine this morning to now drizzly cloud. So glad i'm getting away from this weather for a month when June starts

What a disappointing day. Despite the temp squeezing up to 15C the blustery wind (regularly gusting 30+ mph) made it feel much cooler.
