Showers look to be heading towards the Bristol area? Currently crossing Cardiff.

Also could swing northward as they wrap around with the small feature associated later on tonight. 🙂

Those showers are producing snow here in Caerphilly, just north of Cardiff.

Massive tease for me from the latest ARPEGE run.

Still no agreement between models and runs.

BBC’s take is just one of the many possibilities.

Temperature has risen to -4.2C, from a minimum of below -6C, thanks to crappy cloud. Probably won't go colder than last night now and may scupper getting an ice day.

The one morning I’m about to head out on the motorway out of the area, this area looks like getting some snow. 🤦🏻‍♂️

There are going to be some very happy little and big kids when they get up in the morning. Love a surprise overnight snowfall.

Proper powder snow too ❄❄ not seen that since 2018!👏

Light wet snow here in Eastington, not settling, just melting the frost lol.

Stroud, with that bit of elevation looks great @bellanite.

Im surprised TBH as it’s the coldest part of the day.

Edit: Actually is settling a bit now.

We have half  a Kentimeter here; nice and shiny and frosted hard.

And it's lightly snowing. Good to see at this silly hour! (05:26). Radar looks like it'll keep giving for a bit.

Just been out for a dance in the snow. Small flakes but it's proper snow. Lovely.

I think the Arome predicted this. Fair play to that model.

V light snow here, lying nicely. This could generate info to something quite good as it looks like the intensity looks to still be developing rather than dying out in places

Martyn Hick's weather station reports -0.2C and Dp  -0.9C

Probably slightly cooler here but even with Bristol's UHI effect, I think they'll wake up with a little surprise if under the blob.

Shame we can't keep the streamer coming up the channel, it could be a Feb 2009 type event. The little low coming down through Wales could drop a bit more though as the morning comes.

Very cold on the Isle of Wight. MO app says sleet for us today but I’d be amazed! We looked to have a steady band of precipitation from about 10am but current observations are as follows! No marginality there, unless a warm sector arrives

That looks nice but I think it's Monday's chart. I'll take that!

Yeah it’s Mondays, but same depths by Sunday evening. Basically saying it’s going to snow all day and give 15 cm at my location - I’d be surprised to get 3 so we’ll see!! I’ll post some pictures along the way!!
