No storms Club 2023

We haven't had storm here for a month, sick of this heat to be honest and it's sad.

Sheffield still in the club. Missed the storms from the other day, most of the area getting no measurable rainfall. The wait continues.... might be 2027 before the next one.

I would count ourselves in this one. We had one rumble of thunder after a light hail shower in April. We heard rumbles from nearby storms on two occasions last week - nothing overhead - not even a heavy shower this year to get excited about.

Absolutely nothing here in Drayton since last Autumn. On the south coast September and October tend to be better for imports though...... So here's hoping!!

Yes this thread is been a bit tumble weed this year, a good thing i hope. I've been out for a while as i had some thunder the other day. Hopefully will get my heat thread back next year and that will be just as dead!

It looks the 2023 convective grand finale is going to happen in the north tomorrow.  It may have looked like the Southeast got plenty of action from a precip map but on the ground it has been very isolated down here.  The other problem is journey times in the Southeast: A storm on the opposite side of London for example is 90 mins away and that is the equivalent to Leeds-Liverpool timewise - things are different than how they appear.

No storms here since July, and missed the lot this month as well so I'm going storm chasing tomorrow, had enough of missing out. I expect to see insane lightning with insane hail and insane winds and insane rain and insane loud loud loud thunder all afternoon tomorrow.
