The dying precip over some parts of the south midlands etc is just putting a lid on any convection,  but there's still plenty of the day left....

@sheikhy looking at the initiation to the south east of us they will track right over Central England around 3-5pm

Just remember that there was significant activity even at 6pm yesterday, then further discrete activity late into the night over the south coast, it’s all to play for when you’re dealing with theta-E airmasses - deadlines don’t really matter

The sun is trying to come through the clouds here in Southampton, feels sticky and let hope for some action later in the day, and remember it's early so we won't know if it sparks of till 5/6pm today

Not expecting much over this way today but my god it’s roasting out

I am hoping it might be a little better for central and slightly further east today, I am feeling slightly more positive than yesterday, very hard to tell where storms may start to build from. Might go chasing later, if not to far and things look good.

 

I am hoping for initiation to begin and built over the Hertfordshire and or very south Bedfordshire area or maybe North London area.

Also in south brum right now for the next few hours before I head back to Coventry. Clouded over, but no signs of anything exploding into life yet.
