The channel import chance this evening is absolutely gone, again all the models and agencies have done a terrible job in forecasting

Couldn’t agree more.

Storms didnt fire until, what, 4-5 yesterday? What's everyone worrying about. You don't tend to get diurnal thunderstorms until later afternoon at the earliest.

I think the potential issue a fair few of us have, it’s been cloudy with intermittent rain all day… it feels potentially primed where I am, but maybe need a few hours of sun! Short lived heavy shower here this morning electrified further north as it met an area that had had sun all morning… not had that yet.

I’ve got near constant distant rumbles to my west. 🌩️👍🏻

This is my current view looking west towards the Clwydian Range, along with a couple of current maps showing where thing’s currently are. 🌩️⛈️😁👍🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The cell over Crawley spread North around us at high speed, bringing very heavy rainfall and ever growing rumbles of thunder, the last two accompanied by lightning, to Surbiton after a hot morning with high cloud. Next door's garden party attendees are sheltering in much excitement under the marquee. That storm grew fast and continues to deliver some crackling rolls of thunder across the sky.

I may be wrong but I think there is a convergence zone running along the red line. Which is somewhat east of where shown on most of the models.

I created humidity with my hosepipe, yet I don't think this is possible to work but the humidity on my weather machine went up and a cloud formed right above me and it started to rain.(lightly) since I'm near the high cape is bubbling up and up its around SE Llantrisant, I knew there was rain coming but it just stopped and then I saw a lower cloud above me 5 minutes later and it rained again.

Nothing here yet and we're nearby to that line (though towards the bottom)

Some small clouds have appeared but the atmosphere looks fairly stable. Probably needs to get to 34C to 35C for the cap to break which ain't going to happen.  Netweather forecast much better than convective weather. Another blank for the day.

Has the UKV just given up on life since its 6z run?

Going by this, which uses its data, it wouldn't be worth seeing anyway
