Managed to intercept just North East of Cirencester... incredible skies as I arrived and caught a glimpse of a few strikes as I fumbled about getting my camera out of the bag. Interesting to note that whilst I was sat under the pink blob of precipitation on the radar, it was hardly raining on the ground. Hopefully have some lightning shot stills from my gopro so will share later.

Oh my word, it’s amazing here in Warton, north warks. Non stop thunder and lightning, deafening cracks, power going off and on.

I’m in Amington it’s crazy. Think had a strike straight down in garden the crack after was terrifying - keep safe

Perhaps a little hope down here; lots of mid-level AC around and some of it is trying to reach for the sky.

Another day of the West Midlands getting it all with the East Midlands being a humid dust bowl. I assume it’ll be the same for tomorrow as well?

Really hoping this storm has enough to get past the famous Stoke storm shield, looks like the shield is winning again though

Well the Gap filled in but I think we'll get off relatively lightly

Perhaps lightly was the wrong choice of words

Honestly I could settle for just rain as I want the humidity and temperature to drop.

Must be well over 40k ft tall, properly clouded out to my west

That is one of the biggest cloud shields I’ve seen over the UK.
