Wow, incredibly strong winds just came through Stoke, probably gusting 40-50mph at least!

Must be something approaching. That’s probably an outflow from a nearby storm.

Something is approaching, looks like a normal cumulus is just chilling under the cloudbase tho it's not very visible

Wow 0.6mm of rain. Thunder has stopped and we are just on the very edge.

Rains back again.

Interestingly there seems to be more showers developing behind the storm near Gloucester and tailing down to my E. Might catch the back end of something soon even if it isn't as strong as the storms further North.

That was some intense rain from that cell

It certainly was.  Did you get hail too?  I’m a stones throw away from you in Penn and for a moment I thought my roof was coming in with the hail.

No mate don’t think we had hail here, just those huge torrential rain drops. Thunder was almost constant. Good little storm for sure

Nothing here, just a few spots of rain that barely dampened the ground, that's all the last 48hrs have delivered. Not a clap of thunder heard.

Cumbria hotspot today, we seem to have turned into a semi arid climate, its all bizarre, wettest county normally. Last notable rain 5 weeks ago. This spell now in exceptional territory.

Well the system threw a token bit more active cloud over me which is now of course getting more active as it moves away.

Now got a total of 5.6mm

We also sent one storm over to Manchester which has just merged into one huge storm. There's more for you chaps to come.

Looks like the East Midlands had more action today compared to central West Midlands. Looking at the radar it seems nothing more than light to moderate rain over Birmingham.

The NW looks fairly active right now.
